Substitute Position - Recruiting qualified individuals to assist our English Learner Center. Responsibilities include; translation of school related documents and interpretation during student/parent conferences. All properly completed applications will be reviewed and the most highly qualified individuals will be invited to continue in the selection process. The process may consist of an evaluation and scoring of application materials, written testing, oral interview and/or performance test to evaluate the applicant's skill, training and experience. The EdJoin system will time-out after a 20 minute period of perceived inactivity. Your responses to the supplemental questions are limited to 5,000 characters. A completed on-line application is required of all applicants to be considered for this opening. Once you have submitted your application, please check your email because EdJoin will send you an email verifying that your application has been submitted correctly. If you do not receive an EdJoin email, check your spam/junk mailbox. In the event that you do not receive an email, you will need to apply again. SPECIAL INFORMATION: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, TB test, fingerprinting and may include a physical exam. The physical and drug screen are paid for by the District. The fingerprint cost is $40.00 and is paid for by the candidate. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be: Experience: Two years of full-time equivalent paid experience performing interpreting and translating functions. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by training or course work in interpretation and translation technology.
