As a District Manager in Training, you will prepare to lead a district by developing skills and experiences to inspire Store Managers, drive operational excellence, and foster a diverse, winning culture in our stores. This is not just about managing numbers; it is about communicating a clear vision, developing top talent, and delivering exceptional results across a large market.
What You Will Do
- Empower & Develop Talent: Lead through motivation and impactful coaching to maximize the retention, development, and promotability of coworkers.
- Drive Business Performance: Achieve planned sales and gross profit targets.
- Manage Account Operations: Oversee district credit and collection targets, ensuring all stores comply with established procedures and practices.
- Cultivate a Winning Culture: Establish a positive, productive work environment rooted in a commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Protect company assets through rigorous execution of audits, expense management, and inventory control. Maintain high standards for merchandising and store readiness.
What You Bring to the Team
- 5 to 7 years of retail management experience.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Proven ability to make confident decisions, resolve conflicts, and hire the right people to build an efficient team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and P&L budgeting skills to manage resources effectively.
- Outstanding speaking and writing abilities to effectively mentor teams, document development plans, and report to the Regional Vice President.
- A valid state driver's license and a good driving record
- Ability to commit to a full-time, active schedule, which includes frequent weekend work, travel, and overnights. The role may also require standing, walking, bending, and frequently lifting or moving heavy merchandise.
