    Job Description

    The Division Manager role is pivotal in overseeing operations aimed at promoting all company services within the utility industry across the assigned territory. The primary focus is on ensuring profitable operations through strategic oversight and effective leadership.

    Responsibilities include recruiting, training, motivating, and managing qualified crews under the guidance of supervisory personnel. Upholding all company policies related to employment, safety, equipment management, reporting, and public relations is crucial.

    The Division Manager represents the company's full range of services and products to utilities, including electric, pipeline, municipal, and cooperative sectors. Collaboration with corporate executives, department heads, and other company representatives is essential to align operations with company procedures and goals.

    Additionally, the role involves meticulous control of operational costs to achieve profitability levels consistent with company standards. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence in the utility industry are key attributes for success in this position.

    Routine Job Functions:

    • Manage General Forepersons and their crews, setting performance objectives
    • Analyze equipment expenses and review various financial reports
    • Ensure regular inspection, care, and maintenance of equipment, tools, and materials
    • Enforce consistent adherence to safe work practices
    • Comply with all relevant government regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, EEOC, IRS, etc.)
    • Achieve maximum production efficiency with detailed cost analysis records
    • Prepare and submit bids or proposals for various company services
    • Handle union negotiations, grievances, and workforce management
    • Develop strong relationships with customer personnel to maintain and expand business
    • Stay updated on industry developments and explore innovative opportunities
    • Conduct regular training and development programs for personnel performance enhancement
