Job Title: Django Backend Lead Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ / Charlotte, NC (Remote)

Pay Rate: $55/Hr on W2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Django Backend Lead Developer to lead backend development initiatives, design scalable APIs, and deliver secure, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and Django, experience with cloud technologies, and the ability to guide technical teams and drive engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend applications using Python and Django.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Integrate cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, to support application deployment, data processing, and management.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions.

• Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards, development practices, and quality controls.

• Eligible to workimize database performance and implement effective SQL and NoSQL data-storage solutions.

• Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, scalability, and security requirements.

• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and engineering decisions.

• Mentor developers, provide technical guidance, and support continuous improvement across the development team.

• Participate in Agile planning, development, testing, and release activities.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in backend software development.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Django.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming and relevant backend development frameworks.

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including database design and performance Eligible to workimization.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience using Git and modern software development practices.

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, and provide technical leadership.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Databricks.

• Familiarity with Delta Lake and Delta tables.

• Experience with PySpark and distributed data processing.

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (Eligible to workP).
