We have an outstanding Contract position for aDocument Control and Compliance Specialistto join a leading Company located in theCollege Park, GAsurrounding area.





This role provides both administrative and document control support to three FAA Part 145 repair stations, servicing major airlines and the aftermarket parts sales businesses. Basic responsibilities include managing office processes, maintaining confidential records, supporting compliance with regulatory and quality standards (AS9110/AS9120/FAA Part 145), and coordinating communication across teams. This position will support and manage their time between Quality Management Systems and Import/Export Compliance, both within the Quality department. Key responsibilities for each are listed below.





Responsibilities :



+ Quality Management Systems


+ Managing office processes, maintaining confidential records, and supporting quality standards (AS9110, AS9120, FAA Part 145 standards).


+ Administer and maintain electronic and paper records for FAA and airline regulatory compliance.


+ Prepare documentation packets, archival of policies, and repair manuals.


+ Track distribution, updates, and archival of policies, repair manuals, and regulatory documents.


+ Serve as a point of contact for managers, technicians, and external partners (e.g., other business entities).


+ Coordinate communication across teams domestically and internationally.


+ Support workflow process for document reviews, approvals, retention, and destruction.


+ Assist in audit preparation and response for regulatory or customer requirements.


+ Maintain accurate files for material requests and engineering changes.


+ Train and assist staff on document control procedures.


+ Coordinate the completion of external customer surveys .




+ Import/Export Compliance


+ Provide clerical and organizational support to ensure information is distributed in a timely manner .


+ Manage correspondence, organize electronic files, prepare reports, and serve as a communication point for internal teams, other customer locations, and external clients.


+ Maintain Excel files or databases and perform general office duties to support management and staff.


+ Manage and update information for all product classification and material composition requests received from customer service, repair administrators, customers, and carriers.


+ Collaborate with both internal and external customers (i.e., CSRs, RAs, OEMs, freight forwarders, etc.) to obtain information associated with import/export compliance (e.g., supplier, COO, ECCN, HTS, Schedule B, COO, material composition/breakdown, etc.)


+ Monitor the status of information requests and consistently send reminders to the OEMs for all open requests.


+ Review electronic files received from our customs broker (Golden Globe), rename, and organize .


+ Review electronic invoices from FedEx, UPS, and DHL to identify any imports and exports that these carriers have cleared.


+ Initiate requests to appropriate carriers to receive import and export documents (per regulatory requirements) on clearances made on SAU's behalf.








Basic Hiring Criteria :



+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.


+ Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in aviation, repair station, or regulatory environment.


+ Advanced MS Office and document management system proficiency.


+ Knowledge of FAA/Part 145 requirements and quality system documentation is a plus.


+ Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.


+ Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.


+ Knowledge of Incoterms®, HTS Codes, ECCN, and tariff classifications preferred.
