Access Sciences Corporation is a nationwide professional services firm seeking an experienced Document Controller with 1+ years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will work with a team of Document Controllers to implement and manage document control operations by maintaining and administering document control standards and facilitating the process of document turnover at the end of projects. You will work with multiple contractors, project team members, and project managers while controlling, distributing, maintaining, and retrieving project documents. You may need to work proactively to resolve issues and mitigate risks.Daily, you will analyze, quality check, file, and retrieve electronic design and construction-related documents. Additionally, you will process documents for incoming and outgoing transmittals. You will need to review technical reports, specifications, drawings, and other documents. You will need to identify and use the correct tools, systems, and techniques to index, file, and control it.You will engage with multiple stakeholders and will need to demonstrate professional, timely, and accurate communication skills. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm. This role requires 1 week per month to be on-site (based on team rotation). 1-2 weeks additional onsite time during initial onboarding/training.The compensation for this role is between $50,000 - $65,000 Responsibilities:Analyze, quality check, file, and retrieve electronic construction related documentsProcess documents on incoming and outgoing transmittalsReview and revise technical reports, specifications, drawings, and other documentsIdentify and use the correct tools, systems, and techniques to index, file, and control documentation related to engineering and construction projects.Work with multiple contractors, project team members, and project management with the control, distribution, maintenance, and retrieval of project documentsWork proactively to resolve issues and mitigate risksSupport, train, and guide other team members and the client on document control proceduresSkills, Experience, and Knowledge:1+ years of full-cycle electronic document control. Experience with project close-out a plusDemonstrated experience of document control and records management including Engineering and Vendor document management, As-Built documentation, turnover processes, technical close-out, and project archiving. Experience with Greenfield and Brownfield projects a plusConstruction industry experience with an understanding of engineering, project phases, facilities, and documents for operations a plusWorking knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) a plus.Strong experience in Adobe Acrobat, MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access with a professional understanding of templates, macros, and formatting stylesEffective collaboration skills; this is a team-based environment with interaction among team members and the clientExcellent writing skills, i.e., technical documentation, specifications, training materials, presentationsExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks of differing priorities with precision and accuracyAbility to remain flexible when dealing with changing client requirementsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of qualityAccess Sciences is an employee-owned consulting and managed services firm headquartered in Houston, Texas with a national reach.
