Dog Handlers/Kennel Attendants to join our pet-care team at our busy luxury dog boarding and daycare resort.
We are primarily hiring for weekday afternoon/evening shifts beginning around 1:00 PM, along with some weekend shifts. Applicants should be available at least 20 hours per week. Full-time opportunities are also available.
This is a hands-on position. You’ll spend your shift caring for dogs, supervising play, feeding, cleaning, walking and making sure every dog in our care is safe, comfortable and well cared for.
What You’ll Do
- Provide attentive daily care for dogs staying at our resort
- Prepare and serve meals according to individual feeding instructions
- Administer medications as directed
- Supervise group play and monitor dogs for safe, appropriate interactions
- Walk dogs and provide individual attention when needed
- Clean and sanitize suites, play areas and common areas
- Handle laundry and other daily resort-care tasks
- Communicate important information about the dogs to other team members
- Help wherever needed to keep the resort clean, safe and running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional experience working with dogs is strongly preferred
- Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, breeds and temperaments
- Reliable and punctual — our dogs depend on us being here
- Hard-working and willing to handle the physical and cleaning responsibilities that come with professional animal care
- Able to follow detailed instructions and established procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently while also being a dependable member of the team
- Availability for weekday afternoon/evening shifts beginning around 1:00 PM and some weekend shifts
