Job Title: DOT Driver Location: Northern and Southern Virginia (I-64 West, Unionville, Ashburn, and Fairfax, VA)
Starting Pay: $23.00 per hour
GovFirst is seeking reliable and safety-focused DOT Drivers to support roadway construction, maintenance, and traffic control operations throughout Northern and Southern Virginia (I-64 West, Unionville, Ashburn, and Fairfax, VA).
The successful candidate is responsible for:
Safely operating assigned vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from project locations.
Supporting roadway construction, maintenance, and traffic control operations as directed by supervisors.
Conducting required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
Ensuring vehicles and equipment are operated in accordance with applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
Securing loads properly and verifying that transported materials are handled safely.
Assisting with loading and unloading materials and equipment when required.
Following designated routes, delivery schedules, and project instructions.
Maintaining accurate driving, vehicle inspection, and other required operational records.
Communicating with supervisors and crew members regarding schedules, deliveries, and work assignments.
Maintaining assigned vehicles in a clean and orderly condition.
Following all applicable traffic laws, safety procedures, and workplace requirements.
Wearing and properly utilizing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) when working on job sites.
Working outdoors and assisting with roadway operations in varying weather conditions as needed.
