    Position Summary

    Plans directs and coordinates the Citys downtown development redevelopment and business assistance activities. Develops strategies in conjunction with policy-makers organizations property owners businesspeople volunteers and City management to market downtown foster economic growth and encourage historic preservation. Under the general direction of the Assistant City Manager the Downtown Improvement District Director has considerable independence to undertake and coordinate a variety of activities and projects to accomplish downtown economic development goals.
