PGS Worldwide is seeking a Drafter in Elkton, MD for an approximately 6-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will create and revise 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for product, tooling, and testing components and assemblies.
Required Skills
5 years of experience in CAD drafting and modeling
Experience with 3D CAD modeling
Experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Experience with drafting
Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD
Experience with Siemens Teamcenter
U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Skills
Experience applying GD&T
Knowledge of ASME standards
What You’ll Do
Plan, lay out, draw, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings.
Create 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for product, tooling, and testing components and assemblies.
Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others using standard engineering drafting practices.
Determine scaling and add reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
Prepare complete production detail drawings.
Contribute design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.
