Drafter - Entry Level

-This is NOT a DESIGNER ROLE!!
-Looking for someone fresh out of school or 1-2 yrs experience w/ mechanical/piping/electrial drafting
-will work on drawing corrections from engineering or will help designers w/ their drawings

BASIC FUNCTION:
Conducts routine design drafting assignments for the Engineering Department under limited supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in ongoing development of CAD standards
Maintains drawings and document control systems
Possess a good knowledge of industry standards and practices
Performs design and drafting assignments related to the refineries
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

EXPERIENCE:
0-2 years of job-related experience is required.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
A minimum of a Associate's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education in a technical related field, is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Good judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, basic reading and writing skills, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. The ability provide and receive positive feedback in a Team environment.
Proficient in the use of AutoCad.
Beginner to Intermediate knowledge of piping systems and ability to apply this knowledge. Beginner to Intermediate knowledge of electrical practices and instrumentation and instrument loop diagrams. Beginner to Intermediate knowledge of PLC and HMI (human machine interface) programming.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Specialized training related to AutoCad Drafting & Design is preferred.
