This opportunity will enable you to enjoy a fast-paced environment working on projects of all sizes and complexities.EAD Engineering is looking for a Drafter to prepare and provide first-rate CAD drawings for a multi-discipline core team.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing detailed, quality drawings for industrial construction projects, according to engineering sketches and design proposalsResponsible for layouts to depict functional relationships of equipmentConfer with engineers and experts to interpret design concepts and determine type of detailed working drawings required for successful project executionReview sketches, drawings, and specifications from architects and other engineering specialists, and design, draft and/or implement changes to plansDevelop detailed designs for construction builds according to engineering sketches and design proposalsFlexible and accommodating in order to modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce and/or identify project interferencesTime manage and prioritize tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraintsResponsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practicesPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements:Associates of Science Degree in Drafting related field or combination of education and related experience required2 years of experience with AutoCAD SoftwareKnowledgeable in drafting practices and proceduresAble to read and interpret specifications, architectural, electrical and mechanical plansPossess organizational skillsAbility to set priorities and organize work to meet project deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter with strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task while working on numerous projects simultaneouslyPossess and able to maintain a valid driver's licenseProficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis in knowledge of Excel, including macrosPreferred Certifications and skills:2 years mechanical drafting field experience preferredExperience with equipment general arrangements and electrical schematics a plusWorking Conditions:Office, plant, or client site environment*Ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods of timeAbility to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day and/or work in tight spaces in extreme conditionsMay work near moving mechanical parts and equipment*Office, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals*Periodic weekend, holiday or evening work as neededTravel required*EAD will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary.We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better workplace for our employees and a better product for our customers.EAD is an Equal Opportunity EmployerDuties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
