Job description:
St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for the position of Zamboni Drivers. This is a part-time, non-exempt, seasonal position responsible for operating the ice resurfacing machine at the Drake Ice Arena. Compensation is $18 per hour.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operates the Zamboni and other hand-operated equipment.
- Performs light maintenance and monitors equipment.
- Responsible for opening and closing Drake Arena.
- Responsible for maintaining a quality ice sheet for user groups at all times.
- Monitors behavior and safety on and off the ice sheet.
- Maintains the cleanliness of facilities at all times.
- Visible and attentive to guests within the facility for events and ice rentals
- Follow established safety protocols
- Assist with event and game operations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to be courteous and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and or with others.
- Ability to maintain prompt and dependable work.
- Ability to operate ice resurfacer and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Previous experience working with the public.
- Some mechanical, maintenance or custodial preferred but not required.
