Drive-Thru Expo Coordinator

Position Summary

The Drive-Thru Expo Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that every drive-thru order is accurate, complete, organized, and delivered to guests in a timely manner. This position serves as a key communication link between the kitchen, drive-thru team, and delivery team members to maintain an efficient operation while providing exceptional hospitality.

The Drive-Thru Expo Coordinator must demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication, urgency, leadership, and a commitment to Chick-fil-A standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Order Accuracy and Quality Control

• Verify every order for accuracy and completeness before it is delivered to the guest.
• Ensure all food items, condiments, sauces, napkins, utensils, and requested extras are included.
• Confirm special requests and modifications are correctly fulfilled.
• Check food presentation, packaging, and product quality before releasing orders.
• Immediately communicate missing or incorrect items to the appropriate team member for correction.

2. Drive-Thru Flow and Speed of Service

• Coordinate the movement of completed orders from the kitchen to the drive-thru delivery team.
• Maintain an organized expo station to prevent order mix-ups and unnecessary delays.
• Monitor order timing and communicate bottlenecks to the Shift Leader.
• Prioritize orders appropriately during high-volume periods while maintaining accuracy.
• Work proactively to keep the drive-thru moving efficiently.

3. Communication and Team Coordination

• Maintain clear, professional communication with kitchen team members, order takers, cashiers, runners, and delivery team members.
• Confirm order numbers and identify special instructions before releasing orders.
• Communicate shortages, delays, remakes, and other operational concerns promptly.
• Support teamwork by anticipating the needs of surrounding positions.
• Maintain a calm, solution-oriented attitude during peak business hours.

4. Hospitality and Guest Experience

• Support Chick-fil-A's commitment to serving every guest with care, courtesy, and excellence.
• Ensure orders are handed off in a manner that supports a positive guest experience.
• Help resolve order discrepancies quickly and professionally.
• Demonstrate the principles of the CORE 4: Eye Contact, Smile, Speak Enthusiastically, and Stay Connected.
• Represent Chick-fil-A Jackson & MacArthur with a positive attitude and professional conduct.

5. Food Safety, Cleanliness, and Organization

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handwashing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked expo station.
• Prevent cross-contact and follow procedures for special dietary requests and allergen-related orders.
• Ensure food is handled and packaged according to restaurant standards.
• Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, and supply shortages to leadership.

6. Leadership and Accountability

• Take ownership of the expo position and maintain consistent execution of assigned responsibilities.
• Follow direction from the Shift Leader and Front of House leadership.
• Assist in training team members on order accuracy, packaging standards, and expo procedures when assigned.
• Hold yourself accountable for accuracy, urgency, cleanliness, and communication.
• Help set the next shift up for success by maintaining station readiness and communicating outstanding needs.
• Demonstrate initiative by identifying problems and taking appropriate action within the scope of the position.
