Job Summary

Martin’s Distribution is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Delivery Driver to deliver fresh produce and dry goods to local restaurants throughout the Greater Charlotte area. This position requires driving a 16- ft to 26-ft box truck, selecting and preparing customer orders, loading the truck, completing multiple deliveries each day, and returning completed invoices and delivery paperwork.

Drivers must be punctual, organized, physically capable, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 16- ft to 26-ft box truck to deliver fresh produce and dry goods to local restaurants.
• Read customer orders, select and verify products, and organize orders for delivery.
• Load and secure products in the truck to prevent damage during transportation.
• Complete multiple deliveries per day while following assigned routes and delivery schedules.
• Verify delivered products with customers and obtain any required signatures or documentation.
• Collect and return completed invoices and delivery paperwork at the end of the route.
• Unload products at customer locations and handle products carefully.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and restocking supplier shipments as needed.
• Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and food safety procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck and work areas.
• Communicate delivery issues, discrepancies, delays, and vehicle concerns to management promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Valid, active driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving history.
• Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
• Ability to safely operate a 16- ft to 26-ft box truck.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds and load or unload products from the truck.
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality, with the ability to start work at 5:00 AM.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assigned routes.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous delivery driving or commercial box truck experience.
• Experience in food distribution, produce delivery, or warehouse operations.
• Ability to speak Spanish.
• Experience operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks.

Schedule & Compensation

• Job Type: Full-time
• Starting Time: 5:00 AM daily
• End Time: Until all assigned deliveries and required duties are completed; end times vary by route.
• Pay: $150–$200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Work Location: In person and on the road.

This position requires physical work, early morning starts, multiple daily delivery stops, and the ability to complete both warehouse and delivery responsibilities.
