Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

Summary

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Packs, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may also require operating a forklift and a box van. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. This job may be known as shipping, receiving, pick-packs, or store clerks. maintains records of merchandise shipped. What You''ll Do

• Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand weighing up to 60 pounds
• Packaging and unpacking, crating and uncrating, strapping, wrapping materials for shipping.
• Functions as primary contact point for both, customer and internal management for all operational activities related to the shipping department
• Works with customer and suppliers to provide accurate data and proactively follow up for shipping discrepancies resolution on a timely manner
• Responsible for closing work orders and recording shipping orders on the computer system, printing and labeling items and shipping containers with the correct shipping documentation.
• Complete shipping documentation (Domestic/International)
• Reports to area supervisor for all matters relating to conformance, inventory or materials reports as required.
• May be assigned other material handler duties and responsibilities, and is expected to assist with receiving activities as required.
• This position requires working overtime when necessary
• This position requires the employee to proactively practice safety warehouse rules.
• This position requires the employee to proactively lead and participate in 5S and warehouse continuous improvement activities.
• This position requires the employee to complete all training assigned and required for the position in a timely manner.
• Drive a box van/truck and forklift. Valid driver''s license (Class C) and driving experience with a box truck required.

At Sanmina, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $43,680 - $47,840, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
