Truck Driver/Helper - Temporary
Mon-Fri, 8:00am-2:00pm (later if the schedule requires)
Assist the truck driver with donation pick-ups and deliveries by safely loading, unloading, and handling donated items while providing friendly, professional service to donors and store staff.
Responsibilities- Respond to scheduled and on-demand donation pick-ups
- Assist the driver with loading and off-loading donated items
- Work efficiently to complete routes on time
- Maintain a clean and orderly loading dock and truck
- Provide donors with tax receipts
- Assist the store manager as needed
- Cover the truck driver when absent (as qualified)
Requirements- 18 years or older with a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a MVR
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Great attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift heavy items; stand, squat, bend, and climb in and out of a truck
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, motivated, and able to problem-solve
- Knowledge of furniture moving techniques and tools (or willingness to learn)
- Experience driving a box truck
