Our client is a custom manufacturer of commercial cabinets and millwork products. Typical products include large and small cabinets, reception desks, wall panels, and countertops, etc. Our customers include schools, hospitals, corporate offices, restaurants, and similar commercial businesses. The Delivery Driver is responsible for staging, checking off, and loading customer orders, delivering to the job site and distributing/placing products to the corresponding rooms or areas as required.
BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
Capable of safely driving and maneuvering a 26 ft. box truck within the Charlotte metro area.
Capable of learning to identify various cabinet and millwork products and checking off load tickets and following directions or a floor plan. Capable of safely loading a truck utilizing dollies, hand trucks, strapping, and various protection materials such as stretch wrap, cardboard corners, bubble wrap, etc. Capable of working a physically demanding job that may require heavy lifting over 50lbs.
Maintaining a valid and clean drivers license. Being a courteous driver and observing all traffic laws.
Available to work a 40-60 hr/week schedule that may include early morning and/or night deliveries.
