Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Duck Creek Billing Lead Developer to lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of Duck Creek Billing solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Duck Creek Billing architecture, configuration, development, integrations, and technical leadership. The candidate will work closely with business analysts, solution architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality billing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, configuration, and implementation of Duck Creek Billing applications.
• Drive end-to-end Duck Creek Billing development and customization activities.
• Design and develop billing workflows, business rules, forms, screens, and integrations.
• Lead technical teams and provide guidance to developers on coding standards and best practices.
• Customize Duck Creek Billing functionality to meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Duck Creek Billing and other enterprise applications.
• Work on billing-related functionalities, including:
  • Direct Bill and Agency Bill.
  • Premium billing and invoicing.
  • Installment plans and payment schedules.
  • Payment processing and reconciliation.
  • Refunds, cancellations, and reinstatements.
  • Delinquency management and collections.
• Design and implement REST/SOAP APIs and integration interfaces.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with architects, BAs, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, technical design reviews, and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-production issues.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and manage technical deliverables.

Required Technical Skills

• 10 15+ years of experience in software development, with significant experience in Duck Creek technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Duck Creek Billing development and configuration.
• Deep understanding of Duck Creek Billing architecture and application components.
• Experience with Duck Creek Author, Express, and related configuration tools.
• Strong knowledge of Duck Creek product configuration, business rules, workflows, and integrations.
• Experience developing customizations and extensions within Duck Creek Billing.
• Strong experience with XML, XSLT, SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP web services, and enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of .NET/C# and Microsoft technologies is preferred.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
• Experience leading development teams and delivering enterprise-scale implementations
