    Job Summary:

The E-House Assembly Quality Control Inspector is responsible for verifying that modular electrical buildings, e-houses, and associated enclosures are assembled in accordance with approved engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), customer specifications, installation requirements, and company quality procedures. This position performs in-process and final inspections of structural components, wall and roof panels, doors, penetrations, HVAC openings, equipment supports, hardware, sealing systems, and other assembly components. The inspector verifies dimensional accuracy, proper installation, fit and finish, weatherproofing details, and completion of required quality documentation. The inspector works closely with Production, Engineering, Electrical Quality Control, Paint Quality Control, and the QC Supervisor to identify defects early, prevent nonconforming work from advancing, verify rework, and ensure each e-house meets applicable acceptance requirements before transfer to the next production stage.

    Job Duties:

    • Verify that the base has completed required inspections and has been released for assembly.
    • Review the latest approved assembly drawings, BOMs, installation instructions, and applicable customer requirements.
    • Verify that required materials, panels, doors, fasteners, seals, gaskets, and hardware are available and match the approved documentation.
    • Identify missing components, damaged materials, incorrect parts, and discrepancies before installation.
    • Verify that required base dimensions, mounting interfaces, lifting features, and structural supports have been accepted.
    • Confirm that unresolved nonconformances affecting assembly have an approved disposition before work proceeds.

Wall Panel and Structural Assembly Inspection

    • Verify wall panel identification, orientation, placement, and installation against approved drawings.
    • Inspect panel alignment, plumbness, straightness, squareness, and fit against adjacent panels and the base.
    • Inspect panel-to-panel joints, corner connections, seams, and interfaces for unacceptable gaps, misalignment, damage, or improper fastening.
    • Verify fastener type, location, spacing, installation, and tightening requirements where specified.
    • Inspect structural supports, brackets, framing members, stiffeners, and mounting hardware for correct location and installation.
    • Verify that field modifications, cutting, drilling, trimming, and other alterations are authorized and meet approved requirements.
    • Inspect panels for dents, scratches, damaged coatings, deformation, and other defects affecting appearance, function, or performance.
    • Document and escalate gaps, fit-up problems, and dimensional discrepancies that exceed established acceptance criteria.
    • Verify roof panel placement, alignment, fastening, and installation sequence.
    • Inspect roof seams, transitions, roof caps, flashing, drip edges, and perimeter interfaces.
    • Verify that required sealants, gaskets, closures, and weatherproofing materials are installed in the correct locations.
    • Inspect sealant application for continuity, adhesion, coverage, voids, skips, gaps, and workmanship defects.
    • Verify that roof penetrations, conduit openings, HVAC openings, and other interfaces are sealed according to approved details.
    • Inspect for missing fasteners, improper overlaps, damaged panels, and conditions that could allow water intrusion.
    • Verify completion of required roof and weatherproofing inspections before insulation or other components conceal the work.
    • Coordinate required water-ingress testing or other specified weatherproofing tests and document results.
    • Verify that all failed test areas are repaired and successfully reinspected or retested before release.
    • Verify door frames, door panels, hinges, handles, locks, hardware, and associated components against approved drawings.
    • Inspect door alignment, clearances, operation, latching, and sealing.
    • Verify that doors open and close correctly without binding or interference.

    • Verify correct installation of wall brackets, mounting plates, covers, and specified accessories.
    • Inspect cutouts and penetrations for proper dimensions, location, edge condition, finish, and approved sealing.
    • Confirm that missing, damaged, or incorrect trim and hardware are corrected before final acceptance.
    • Verify equipment supports, mounting brackets, attachment points, and mounting locations against approved drawings.
    • Inspect HVAC openings, support structures, equipment interfaces, and required clearances.
    • Verify equipment and component installation does not interfere with doors, panels, access routes, or other assemblies.
    • Inspect mounting hardware and verify specified torque requirements are documented when applicable.
    • Confirm that required access panels, removable covers, and service clearances are maintained.
    • Identify unauthorized modifications, interference conditions, and installation discrepancies.
    • Coordinate with Electrical QC for applicable electrical installation inspection and release requirements.
    • Verify that required inspections are completed before insulation, mastic, interior liners, or other materials conceal the work.

    • Verify that penetrations, joints, and interfaces receive the specified sealing treatment.
    • Inspect for missing insulation, damaged vapor barriers, incomplete sealing, and visible gaps where acceptance criteria are defined.
    • Confirm that concealed-work inspections and required photographs or records are complete before concealment.
    • Verify that rework involving insulation removal, mastic removal, panel removal, or resealing receives the required reinspection.
    • Inspect assembled panels and finished surfaces for scratches, dents, chipped paint, damaged coatings, contamination, and handling damage.
    • Verify that repairs and touch-ups follow the approved coating system and customer requirements.
    • Identify coating damage caused by drilling, cutting, welding, fastening, or assembly handling.
    • Verify that exposed edges and modified areas receive required corrosion protection and finishing.
    • Coordinate with Paint QC when coating acceptance, product compatibility, or repair requirements require technical review.
    • Prevent acceptance of cosmetic or coating repairs that do not meet documented requirements.
    • Identify and document nonconforming materials, installation defects, workmanship issues, and drawing discrepancies.
    • Place affected work on hold in accordance with company procedures when acceptance requirements are not met.
    • Complete assembly inspection checklists, travelers, punch lists, and required quality records.
    • Record pass/fail results, measurements, comments, photographs, and applicable drawing revisions as required.
    • Verify completion of designated inspection hold points before work advances to the next operation.

    • Verify that identified defects are corrected or formally dispositioned before assembly release.
    • Communicate assembly status, outstanding quality concerns, and release restrictions during production meetings and daily quality updates.
    • Perform final assembly inspections before transfer to integration, electrical completion, customer testing, or other designated production stages.
    • The E-House Assembly QC Inspector is authorized and expected to:
