Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The salary for this role ranges from $22.15 - $37.50 per hour.

Position Overview:

Passion for technology meets keenly managed business processes in the Early Career Internship Program - Information Technology. Over the course of this 12-week paid internship, students explore how data, AI, digital tools, and connected systems help teams work smarter, make better decisions, and improve how products are made and delivered. You'll gain hands-on experience at manufacturing sites and in key functional teams, learn directly from business and technology leaders, and see how IT plays a critical role in powering innovation across Eaton. This program is a great fit for curious problem-solvers who enjoy learning in fast-moving environments, working with others, and turning ideas into practical solutions.

Assignments could include:

• Working with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality and IT to map an end-to-end business process and the supporting data and systems
• Supporting the implementation and scaling of digital tools to improve production execution, shop-floor visibility, traceability and connectivity
• Building or improving data pipelines, models and analytics that connect information across business processes
• Testing applications, workflows, integrations or AI-enabled capabilities that solve a defined business problem

After completion of the internship program, your technical skills combined with your newly acquired business acumen will prepare you to be considered for Eaton's Information Technology Development Program upon graduation.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled or received a bachelor's or master''s degree in a STEM field or business major from an accredited institution
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in management information systems, computer science/engineering, data analytics, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, supply chain, business analytics or a related field
• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Previous internship or co-op experience in manufacturing operations, systems integration, data, AI, product ownership, application delivery, process improvement or business-facing technology roles
• Experience through internships, co-ops, projects, research or leadership activities that demonstrate problem solving, collaboration and execution
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community

Position Criteria:

• Passion for how products are designed, built, and delivered, with enthusiasm for partnering directly with operations teams and business leaders in a dynamic manufacturing environment where ideas become reality
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to listen first, collaborate effectively, and work across technical, operational, and business functions
• Hands-on problem solver who seeks to understand the work, identify root causes, and connect business needs with practical technology solutions, including data, AI, applications, and digital tools
• Process-oriented thinker with strong prioritization skills, a focus on measurable outcomes, and the ability to improve how work gets done through execution and continuous improvement
• Highly adaptable and learning agile, with openness to relocation, travel, changing business needs, and fast-paced environments that require ownership, follow-through, and credibility through results
• This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the assignment manager
• Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed
• The summer internship culminates with a formal presentation where students showcase their success stories to leaders of the organization and receive feedback on their performance
• Demonstrate geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Internship Program including the ability to relocate to an Eaton facility including (but not limited to): Beachwood, OH: Raleigh, NC; Greenwood, SC; Sumter, SC; Milwaukee, WI and El Paso, TX
