Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group is actively seeking an Echocardiograph Technician to work out of our Cardiovascular Diagnostics Center in Williamsburg. Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (TPMG) is comprised of over 200 physicians and advanced practice clinicians and is the largest physician-owned group on the Peninsula. The schedule is full time, Monday-Friday. Position Summary
The Echocardiograph Technician I is responsible for conducting echocardiograms, stress testing (with and without echo), contrast studies and saline bubble studies on patients to determine heart disease. Major Duties and Responsibilities - Prepare paperwork prior to patient’s visit.
- Review patient files for cardiac history and indication for testing, medications prescribed and cardiac history.
- Works with the physician to ensure patient testing occurs for all studies in a timely and organized fashion.
- Prepare patients for stress echo, stress testing or transthoracic 2D echo study.
- Conducts testing according to standard echocardiography and stress echocardiography protocol and procedures.
- Prepares preliminary report for interpreting physician review.
- Records patient information into NextGen.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training / Requirements - Associates Degree or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- BLS or ACLS certification required.
- Sonography Registry credentials must be current.
Physical Demands - Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb or balance for limited periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 30 lbs. *
- Ability to grasp and hold up to 25 lbs.*
