Ecommerce Shipping & Fulfillment Lead

Oak Park, Michigan | Full-Time | On-Site | $25-$28/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated capability

We are a growing formal menswear retailer with a fast-growing ecommerce business, and we need someone to own our daily shipping operation. This is a hands-on role: picking merchandise, packing orders, using shipping software, solving inventory discrepancies, prioritizing Express and marketplace orders, coordinating help when needed, and making sure nothing gets lost in the cracks at the end of the day.

The job has one simple outcome: every order that can ship today ships today, it ships correctly, and anything that cannot ship has a clear resolution in motion before the day ends.

What you'll own:

• Daily fulfillment: normal volume ~40 orders / 57 units; busy days ~85 / 114; peaks above 100 orders
• Shipping accuracy: correct product, SKU, size, length, color, quantity and service
• Priority orders: Overnight, Express, Amazon, eBay and approved commitments before the ~4 PM cutoff
• Inventory problems: use Shopify, RFID, our warehouse and our retail store before concluding an item is unavailable
• End-of-day reconciliation: know what shipped, what didn't, why, what happens next and who owns it
• Operational continuity: keep processes and backup coverage in place so shipping doesn't depend on one person

Tools: Shopify, ShipStation, BR Picklist, RFID, UPS, USPS, occasional FedEx. Experience with these exact tools is helpful but not required. We teach systems. We hire for ownership, reliability, attention to detail, process discipline, problem-solving and follow-through.

Requirements

• Regular hands-on fulfillment experience (picking, packing, shipping) across several of the activities in our application checklist
• Comfortable with many SKUs, sizes and variants
• Comfortable with computer-based order, inventory and shipping systems
• Able to investigate inventory discrepancies before escalating
• Deadline-driven, and able to work independently after training
• Able to coordinate occasional help
• Fully on-site in Oak Park, MI, Monday-Friday, approximately 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
