Emergency Department Director

Fantastic opportunity to join a mission-driven academic medical center and lead one of the region's busiest Emergency Departments. This leader will oversee clinical and operational performance for a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department while developing frontline leaders, strengthening culture, and driving strategic initiatives.

Highlights:

• Lead an Emergency Department with approximately 128,000–146,000 annual visits.
• Oversight of approximately 400 team members and 4 Nurse Managers.
• Reports to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Emergency Services.
• Opportunity to lead culture transformation, manager development, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Academic teaching environment with strong physician and educator partnerships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department nursing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading through managers and developing leadership teams.
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and operational oversight.
• Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Massachusetts RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.
