We are seeking an experienced Edge Professional Services Technical Lead to drive successful customer implementations, serve as a trusted technical advisor, and help shape the future of edge computing in retail.

Position Summary

As the Edge Professional Services Technical Lead, you will lead strategic customer engagements focused on deploying and integrating NCR Voyix Edge within complex enterprise retail environments. This is a highly visible customer-facing role that combines technical leadership, solution architecture, project delivery, and consultative problem-solving.

You will serve as the primary technical authority throughout implementation projects, partnering with customer stakeholders, solution architects, engineering teams, and sales organizations to ensure successful adoption of the platform. You will also act as a subject matter expert on Kubernetes, edge computing, Linux infrastructure, cloud-native technologies, and application modernization.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Delivery & Technical Leadership

• Lead multiple concurrent customer implementations of NCR Voyix Edge from discovery through production deployment.
• Act as the technical lead and trusted advisor for enterprise customers, guiding architecture decisions and deployment strategies.
• Own technical project execution, including planning, risk identification, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Develop and maintain implementation plans, deployment runbooks, and project documentation.
• Collaborate closely with customer infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to ensure successful integration.

Solution Architecture & Deployment

• Architect and deploy Kubernetes-based edge solutions across geographically distributed retail environments.
• Assist customers in onboarding, migrating, and optimizing workloads on the NCR Voyix Edge platform.
• Design and implement cloud-native deployment patterns, automation workflows, and operational best practices.
• Support application modernization efforts by helping customers deploy containerized and microservices-based applications.
• Guide customers through infrastructure, networking, storage, security, and observability requirements.

Technical Consulting & Enablement

• Become a recognized subject matter expert in NCR Voyix Edge and related technologies.
• Deliver technical workshops, enablement sessions, and knowledge transfer activities for customers and internal teams.
• Provide architectural recommendations and operational best practices aligned with customer business objectives.
• Mentor team members and contribute to the technical development of the Professional Services organization.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Build and maintain proof-of-concept, demonstration, and lab environments.
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to identify product enhancements and customer-driven improvements.
• Provide technical support during customer evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Capture deployment lessons learned and contribute to implementation standards and best practices.
• Stay current on emerging trends in Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, edge computing, and retail technology platforms.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading complex enterprise technology implementation projects in a customer-facing role.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying and operating containerized workloads using Kubernetes and/or Docker.
• Strong experience designing and supporting cloud-native architectures within AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPNs, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
• Knowledge of edge computing architectures and distributed infrastructure.
• Experience with GitOps methodologies and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Familiarity with observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience within the retail, hospitality, or multi-site enterprise industries.
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) or equivalent cloud certifications.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers through digital transformation or modernization initiatives.
