We're hiring an Digital PR & Partnerships Manager to own how ERGO NEXT shows up everywhere small business owners form opinions about insurance that isn't our own website: mainstream and trade media, buyer guides and listicles, AI answer engines, creator content, Reddit and forums, review platforms and our sports partnerships.

This role sits at the intersection of digital PR, editorial outreach, SEO/GEO, influencer marketing and brand reputation. Your mission is simple: identify the publishers, editors, creators and communities that shape how small businesses choose an insurer, build relationships with them and make sure ERGO NEXT is fairly represented — and regularly recommended — when they evaluate providers.

Success looks like ERGO NEXT becoming a consistently recommended brand across trusted publications and AI answers, a stronger and more visible executive voice, a healthier public reputation and measurable lift in organic discovery.

What You’ll Do: 

PR agency and executive voice

• Guide and hold accountable our external PR agency, setting clear priorities for editorial outreach, listicle inclusion and publisher relationships.
• Pitch story angles, insights and data that help editors understand how ERGO NEXT serves small businesses, and make sure we're considered when publications refresh their recommendation lists.
• Build a thought-leadership program, including LinkedIn publishing and media commentary from ERGO NEXT subject matter experts, to drive awareness and LLM citations.

Listicles, buyer guides and citations

• Identify and prioritize the editorial content that shapes small business purchasing decisions, including mainstream media, trade media, buyer guides, product roundups and "best of" rankings.
• Develop outreach strategies that secure and maintain placement in these high-intent recommendations.
• Track how AI answer engines cite ERGO NEXT and competitors through earned media, and target the sources those engines draw from most.

Proprietary data distribution

• Turn ERGO NEXT's original research, surveys and other data into stories that editors and creators want to cite.
• Own the distribution plan for each release across media, creators, communities and partners.

Partnerships

• Activate our sports and corporate sponsorships across earned media, creator content and community channels to drive awareness.

Influencer and affiliate collaborations

• Recruit and manage creator and affiliate partners who reach small business owners, from trade-specific voices to personal finance and entrepreneurship creators.
• Structure partnerships that deliver both credible third-party endorsement and trackable traffic.

Cross-functional collaboration and measurement

• Partner with SEO/GEO, content, growth and social teams so earned placements strengthen organic visibility and conversion.
• Measure impact and use data to refine outreach strategy and prioritize the publications, creators and communities that matter most.

What We Need: 

• We’re looking for someone who understands how editorial recommendations influence discovery and purchasing decisions.
• 4–8 years in digital PR, editorial outreach, SEO partnerships, or publisher relations
• Experience securing placements in buyer guides, product roundups, or editorial recommendations
• Strong relationship-building skills with editors, journalists, or publishers
• Familiarity with how editorial coverage influences search visibility and AI-driven discovery
• Comfort working with performance metrics and tracking business impact
