EDM Operator(s) - Wire or Ram
Role Overview:
The EDM Operator is responsible for reviewing technical documents, blueprints, and production orders to set up, program, and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment. The role emphasizes precision machining, quality control, and continuous improvement of operational processes while ensuring timely maintenance and optimal machine performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the appropriate setup, tooling, and process parameters.
Program and modify machine settings as required to achieve accurate and efficient production outcomes.
Set up and operate EDM machines, ensuring all operations adhere to established quality standards.
Prepare and manage production components, such as electrodes and tooling, and perform necessary grinding or finishing operations.
Inspect and verify finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance with design specifications.
Execute routine maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning, filter replacement, and machine upkeep) according to scheduled maintenance protocols.
Collaborate with team members to communicate setups and share process improvement ideas aimed at enhancing productivity and quality.
