We are seeking an Educational Consultant 4 - Educational Technology Program Manager to join the Division of Academic Content within the Office of Teaching and Learning. This position provides statewide leadership for educational technology and digital learning initiatives and helps connect technology readiness with high-quality instructional materials, curriculum implementation, professional learning, and effective classroom instruction.
The Education Consultant 4 will lead statewide programs and initiatives related to instructional technology, digital learning, digital literacy, technology readiness, and technology-supported instruction. The position will also provide program leadership for key components of Louisianas Instructional Materials Review and Instructional Materials Professional Learning Partner Guide, including review processes, quality assurance, stakeholder coordination, and continuous program improvement.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and collaborative leader who can manage complex statewide programs, analyze data and policy, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, coordinate work across multiple teams and partners, and translate emerging technology issues into practical guidance and resources for Louisiana educators and school systems.

Minimum Qualifications
Eight years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience plus five years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
A bachelors degree plus five years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus four years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services.

Job Duties:
As the Education Consultant 4, you will lead statewide efforts to ensure technology effectively supports high-quality teaching and learning across Louisiana. In this role, you will:
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group
Work Schedule: Workdays are Monday - Friday; work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Note regarding the advertised pay range: The Education Consultant 4 has a special entrance rate (SER) of $31.25 hourly, $2,500 biweekly that is above the minimum hire rate for these positions. The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
