SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:

Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) is seeking a Collaborative, Problem-solver, Communicator, and empowering trainer to serve as the Education Technology Training & Implementation Coordinator. The Education Technology Training & Implementation Coordinator will be responsible for leading the integration of technology into classroom instruction by designing and delivering targeted professional development to educators, school leaders, and more. This role ensures that classroom hardware-including iPads, student Chromebooks, and Apple TVs-and supplemental software are integrated into daily instruction. By collaborating closely with Coaching Coordinators, backend Ed Tech Specialists and members of the governance team, the coordinator guarantees that all digital tools and common assessment platforms are properly modeled and ready to enhance student-centered learning environments. This role reports to the Director of Education Technology.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The following outlines this positions core duties and responsibilities and provides a sample overview of what your day-to-day may look like.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Professional Development Leadership: Lead 1:1, group, and asynchronous training sessions for teachers and staff focused on the practical use of district hardware (iPads, Chromebooks, Apple TVs) and software integration.
  • Technology Integration & Implementation: Guide teachers and instructional coaches in implementing supplemental software and common assessment tools to enhance student engagement and academic achievement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend Ed Tech Specialists, Coaching Coordinators, and governance teams to ensure platforms are accurately rostered and instructional technology strategies align with district-wide priorities.
  • Educator Support & Resource Curation: Serve as the primary on-the-ground support for educators navigating new digital tools in the classroom, while developing and maintaining a repository of digital learning resources and best practices. Lead efforts to measure the impact of data-driven initiatives on student achievement and organizational performance.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: SKILLS AND MINDSETS

As an ideal candidate for this role, you will be able to achieve the following:

  • Be a strong strategic and analytical thinker. You are a natural problem solver who can efficiently grasp and act on a big picture, quickly analyze the root causes, and define new ways forward. Your ability to chart a clear course, juggle many tasks and priorities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will bring clarity to the complex projects you lead.
  • Embrace a fast-moving organization. Deadlines, changing priorities, and new projects don't overwhelm you or the quality of your work. Instead, they inspire you to rise to the occasion. Your planning will be the backbone of an efficient and productive team. The team will look to you to establish systems, develop project plans, and support implementation. You will manage up and across different pieces of work to ensure the team meets goals.
  • Deliver crisp, clean messages. Whether in writing or on the phone, your communications are articulate and concise. You understand your audience and know how to deliver inspiring messages and tough news with ease and tactful finesse.
  • Partner with education leaders. You'll regularly interact with stakeholders, motivating them to make incremental changes and take quantum leaps.
  • Be willing to step up to the plate. You're eager to contribute and learn, and willing to help identify solutions independently

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of district landscape and efforts to expand school-based autonomy
  • Bachelor's in Education or Instructional Technology, a minimum of three years of experience in instructional tech or coaching, and knowledge of frameworks like SAMR and PIC
  • Proven ability to collaborate with IT, academic, and administrative teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Passion for educational equity and a commitment to improving outcomes for all students.
