At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are presently seeking aEH&S Specialist that will assist with tasks related to EH&S regulatory compliance current EH&S systems maintenance as well as advancement of proactive facility initiatives and system improvements. Main responsibilitiesAssist in the development implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental Health & Safety EHS programs policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations.Conduct routine safety inspections audits and workplace assessments including documentation corrective action tracking and follow-up.Coordinate and monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely completion.Maintain OSHA-required records and EHS documentation including record retention and regulatory filing requirements.Administer and maintain the Safety Data Sheet SDS program and ensure compliance with OSHA Hazard Communication requirements.Support the Management of Change MOC process including the review and approval of new chemicals equipment and process modifications.Prepare and submit environmental reports and regulatory documentation including but not limited to Tier II hazardous waste air wastewater and other applicable reports.Assist with incident injury near-miss and property damage investigations including root cause analysis corrective action development workers compensation coordination and claim reporting.Coordinate and oversee contractors and consultants performing EHS-related work to ensure compliance with company safety requirements.Support regulatory inspections conducted by OSHA EPA CDPHE local agencies insurance carriers and customers including corrective action closure.Conduct risk assessments RHAJSAJHA and assist in the selection evaluation and implementation of appropriate personal protective equipment PPE.Develop coordinate and deliver facility-specific EHS training programs using internal resources and external consultants.Maintain the facility compliance calendar to ensure required inspections audits certifications permits and employee training are completed on schedule.Participate in and support the facility Safety Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.Provide EHS support across all shifts including occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require.Manage the procurement and inventory of safety equipment PPE emergency response supplies and first aid materials.Support radiation safety and laser safety compliance programs including applicable training documentation and regulatory requirements.Assist with emergency preparedness planning drills and response activitiesPromote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement coaching and recognition initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Environmental Science Industrial Hygiene Engineering or a related field equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.Minimum of 3-5 years of Environmental Health & Safety EHS experience in a manufacturing industrial laboratory or regulated environment.Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment CDPHE requirements.Experience developing implementing and maintaining EHS programs.Experience conducting incident investigations root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Experience performing safety inspections risk assessments and internal compliance audits.Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Preferred QualificationsProfessional certification such as ASP CSP CHMM OHST or other relevant EHS certification.Experience with ISO 14001 andor ISO 45001 management systems and internal auditing.Knowledge of Colorado Workers Compensation processes and claim management.Experience supporting radiation safety andor laser safety programs.Experience with EHS management software and electronic recordkeeping systems.Physical RequirementsAbility to frequently walk throughout a manufacturing facility and remain standing for extended periods.Ability to lift push and pull up to 35 pounds occasionally.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment PPE including safety glasses hearing protection respirators when medically qualified and other PPE as required.Ability to work in office manufacturing laboratory and outdoor environments.Benefits start day 1 Medical Dental Vision 401K Holiday Pay PAID MaternityPaternity leave Tuition Reimbursement Long-term and Short-term disability.Pay Range 85000 -
