Title: EHS Coordinator - Radiation Safety Compliance

Duration: 05 months contract

Location: Cary, NC

Shift: Standard Business Hours

Position Summary

• Provides support for multiple radiation safety compliance programs including radiation dosimetry, radiation safety training, FDA 2579 submissions, Texas Equipment Performance Evaluations, X-Ray Demonstration Registrations, Radioactive Material Licensing and Service X-Ray Registrations
• Directly supports regulatory documentation, technical reviews, database management, billing coordination, and radiation safety administrative functions
• Supports radiation safety compliance processes through communication with field teams, state agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

FDA 2579 Submissions

• Performs technical review of all FDA Form 2579 for accuracy and completeness
• Compares information on forms against system information in P40
• Makes corrections to forms as needed
• Tracks missing or deficient forms
• Submits forms to FDA, State Agencies and customers
• Files completed forms as required
• Communicates missing or deficient forms to field
• Reviews FDA 2579 mailbox
• Maintains associated databases

License Billing and Payment Support

• Tracks, files and submits payments to state agencies for licenses and other bills
• Processes checks / P-Cards

Administrative Tasks Associated with Radiation Safety

• Files paperwork associated with Service X-Ray Registrations and Radioactive Material Licenses
• Enrolls and maintains personnel for Radiation Safety related trainings

Radiation Dosimetry Program Support

• Reviews Radiation Safety Officer mailbox for dosimetry requests
• Communicates prior dose requests to hiring manager
• Files dose requests as required
• Issues and ships dosimeters as required
• Supports quarterly ring dosimeter shipments
• Maintains associated databases

X-Ray Demonstrations Support

• Reviews X-Ray Demonstrations mailbox for event requests
• Uploads event requests into Demonstration database
• Performs technical review of event requests against specific state regulations
• Submits event requests to state agencies as required
• Updates submitter that event is approved

Texas Equipment Performance Evaluations Support

• Reviews Texas EPE mailbox for required communications
• Reviews service reports for events where EPEs are required
• Enters EPE requirements into SAP and Texas EPE database
• Contacts customer within prescribed timeline to schedule EPE or confirm completion
• Contacts contracted physics groups as required
• Files Texas EPE documentation
• Updates databases as required

Additional Support

• Supports other administrative functions including creating training documentation

Qualifications

Education:

• Not specified

Experience:

• Background in Radiation Protection desired

Skills:

• Proficient with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of SAP systems
• Familiar with Power Platform
