Key Responsibilities:
Wastewater Treatment:
Monitor and operate wastewater treatment systems ensuring effluent quality meets regulatory standards.
Help troubleshoot and optimize treatment processes to improve efficiency and compliance when necessary.
Maintain records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies.
Air Emissions Management:
Monitor air emission sources
Ensure compliance with air quality permits and regulations (IDEM, EPA)
Participate in air emissions inventory and reporting activities.
Implement corrective actions for any deviations or violations.
Hazardous Waste Management:
Manage hazardous waste generation, storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with regulations (e.g., RCRA).
Maintain hazardous waste manifests and related documentation.
Train employees on hazardous waste handling and emergency response procedures.
Coordinate with waste disposal contractors and regulatory inspectors.
EHS Compliance & Support:
Assist with environmental inspections, audits, and investigations.
Maintain environmental permits, records, and reports.
Support health and safety initiatives related to environmental hazards.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for EHS incidents.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sustainability projects.
