The EHS Manager is responsible for leading all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs at our headquarters distribution facility. This role focuses primarily on safety leadership, regulatory compliance, and injury prevention across operational teams, while maintaining working knowledge of environmental regulations applicable to an industrial distribution environment.
This position supervises the EHS Coordinator and serves as the facility’s subject matter expert for all EHS-related matters, ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and applicable environmental regulations.
Requirements
Lead and manage all safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable state regulations
Oversee environmental compliance efforts consistent with standards from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and local agencies
Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Maintain OSHA 300 logs and manage required regulatory reporting
Perform routine safety audits, job hazard analyses, and facility inspections
Develop and deliver safety training for supervisors and warehouse personnel
Ensure compliance related to powered industrial trucks, lockout/tagout, fall protection, hazard communication, PPE, and emergency preparedness
Oversee waste handling, spill prevention, and environmental documentation
Track and report key safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses, corrective actions)
Supervise and develop the EHS Coordinator
Partner with operations leadership to promote a strong safety culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
7+ years of EHS experience in industrial distribution operations
Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety programs
Working knowledge of environmental compliance requirements
Experience managing regulatory inspections and audits
Supervisory experience preferred
Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or similar credentials preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
