About the Role: REELSAFE SAFETY LLC is looking for a driven and detail-oriented EHS Specialist to join our team in Fremont, CA. Responsibilities:
Maintain environmental compliance calendars, permit registers, reporting schedules, and associated records.
Support compliance with applicable federal, California, Bay Area, and local environmental requirements.
Manage and support air, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, storm water, wastewater, and industrial discharge compliance activities, as applicable.
Coordinate inspections, monitoring, sampling, reporting, permit applications and renewals, and regulatory submissions.
Develop, review, and update environmental plans, procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
Conduct compliance inspections, track corrective actions, and support environmental incident and spill investigations and response activities.
Maintain environmental documentation, including permits, manifests, analytical results, training records, inspection records, and agency correspondence.
Coordinate with laboratories, waste vendors, consultants, and other environmental service providers.
Provide environmental training and compliance guidance, and support audits, agency inspections, and information requests.
Evaluate the environmental impacts of operational changes, new equipment, chemicals, and processes through change-management reviews.
Track environmental performance metrics and support sustainability reporting and management updates.
New chemical risk analysis and assessment for the site.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field
2+ years of experience in an EHS Specialist or similar role
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Cal/OSHA regulations
Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits
Excellent communication and training facilitation skills
Proficiency in maintaining EHS management systems and compliance documentation
CSP, CHMM, or other relevant EHS certification is a plus
Self-motivated, highly organized, and committed to continuous improvement
