THE POSITION

As an Electrical Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced Journeyman Electricians, Craftsmen, and Electrical Foremen while developing the hands-on skills needed to advance your electrical construction career.

Conduit Installation

• Assist with the fabrication and installation of rigid, aluminum, EMT, PVC, and Plasti-Bond conduit
• Use or learn to use mechanical, electric, and hydraulic conduit benders
• Assist with conduit layout and routing
• Fabricate and install conduit supports
• Assist experienced electricians with electrical raceway installation

Cable Tray, Wire & Cable Installation

• Assist with the installation of cable tray and tube tray
• Install wire and cable in conduit and cable tray
• Assist with manual and mechanical wire and cable pulls
• Support installation of electrical equipment and related systems
• Assist with material handling and preparation for electrical installations

Electrical & Instrumentation Support

• Assist experienced craft professionals with electrical and instrumentation construction
• Assist with the installation of instrument tubing and air piping when required
• Use electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, hand, and power tools
• Learn proper installation methods and construction practices
• Support electrical and instrumentation crews as assigned

Safety & Jobsite Responsibilities

• Follow applicable safety rules, procedures, and project requirements
• Follow direction from Journeymen, Foremen, and project supervision
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Properly use and care for tools and equipment
• Assist with demolition, material handling, cleanup, and other construction activities
• Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently

Previous industrial electrical experience is preferred but not required for every apprentice-level opportunity. Candidates with relevant construction experience, mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates should have:

• Basic knowledge of electrical construction and applicable safety practices
• Previous electrical or construction experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to learn electrical construction skills
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
• Commitment to safety, quality, attendance, and workmanship
• Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with electrical construction
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Ability to pass applicable background checks
• Ability to obtain any credentials or certifications required by the specific project or site
