Volt is immediately hiring anElectrical Assembly II Electro-Mechanical Assemblerfor a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer inSan Diego CA.As anElectrical Assembly II Electro-Mechanical Assembleryou willJob Description Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform electro-mechanical assembly repair and rework of transformers power supplies and magnetic assemblies in support of Patriot and Aegis radar systems. Read interpret and follow detailed work instructions engineering documentation electromechanical blueprints wiring diagrams and electronic schematics. Execute production hand-soldering operations in accordance with Raytheon and industry standards. Assemble route connect and secure electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and measurement devices. Inspect assemblies and completed work for accuracy quality and compliance with engineering specifications. Utilize computer systems and internal software tools for documentation traveler processing and production data entry. Support fabrication modification and repair activities in accordance with supervisor direction and technical documentation. Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment while adhering to all Environmental Health & Safety procedures. Work primarily in a seated position with occasional standing bending squatting kneeling or climbing laddersstep stools as needed. Lift carry or move components weighing up to 25 lbs. unassisted.This is a full-time opportunity. 2nd Shift. 980 work schedule. The Ideal Candidate will have Required Skills & Qualifications HS diploma or equivalent e.g. G.E.D. in the US or vocationaltechnical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Minimum 1 year of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience. Minimum 1 year of production hand-soldering experience. Experience reading and interpreting electromechanical drawings wiring diagrams schematics and work instructions. Ability to use hand tools measurement devices and basic manufacturing equipment. Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal production systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards. Ability to lift carry or move components up to 25 lbs. unassisted. Ability to work independently and effectively within a small highly skilled team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Preferred Skills & Qualifications J-STD-001 soldering certification. Experience in electro-mechanical assembly wiring or electrical testing. Familiarity with defense manufacturing environments. Experience working in AS9100 or ISO-certified manufacturing facilities. Experience working effectively in a small high-performing team environment.
