Electrical Design Engineer
Our client designs and manufactures specialized testing equipment used to simulate weathering, UV exposure, and corrosion conditions across a variety of industries. Headquartered near Avon, Ohio, the company manufactures all products locally and has built a strong reputation for engineering excellence, quality, and innovation. With approximately 200 employees at its headquarters, they offer the stability of an established organization combined with the collaborative environment of a close-knit engineering team.
Job Description
- Design electrical subsystems for new and existing products
- Develop analog and digital circuit designs
- Design and test PCBs
- Create custom circuit designs to support product development initiatives
- Build, test, and evaluate prototypes
- Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations
- Support thermal design considerations during product development
- Conduct risk assessments and engineering evaluations
- Generate and manage ECNs
- Partner with production, purchasing, sales, and marketing teams to support product performance and customer requirements
- Support projects throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept through production release

The Successful Applicant
A successful Electrical Design Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience; 8+ years preferred
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design
- Strong PCB design and prototyping experience
- Background in custom circuit design
- Experience performing failure analysis and troubleshooting
- Thermal design experience
- Hands-on product development and manufacturing experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving and root cause analysis mindset
- Experience with three-phase power systems up to 400V is a plus
- Experience with lamp ballasts, UV lamps, or Xenon arc lamp technology is a plus
