Responsibilities:
- Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
- Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
- Maintains inventory of production workstations.
- Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects.
- Assembles, reworks and/or repairs assemblies and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Preferred:- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble equipment.
- Experience with electro-optical and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience working in a clean room environment.
- Experience working in an engineering manufacturing design or development environment.
- Experience with any of the following: hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
- Self-directed & action-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment to resolve most questions and problems.
- Relevant manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction / facilities experience.
Physical Demands:- Requires standing, sitting at workstation, use of computer, use of Aluma lifts and hoists, installing assembly materials above the head, and lifting no more than 25 lbs by hand.
Education:- HS Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
