Electrical/Embedded Software Engineer - Bourne, MA

• Design, develop, and support advanced electrical and embedded systems for industrial inspection equipment.
• Create and modify electronic hardware including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitry.
• Develop PCB schematics and layouts using industry-standard design tools.
• Drive hardware and software integration activities, including system bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation.
• Develop and support DSP, FPGA, and CPLD-based solutions for inspection and sensing applications.
• Design and implement signal processing algorithms and sensor interface solutions.
• Integrate industrial communication protocols and PLC interfaces into equipment platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
• Participate in technical reviews and provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Support production ramp-up activities and help resolve technical challenges throughout the product lifecycle.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline and bring approximately 5-8+ years of experience in embedded systems, electronics design, or industrial automation environments. A Master's degree would be advantageous.

Key requirements include:

• Strong background in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools, ideally Altium Designer.
• Proven expertise in embedded hardware and software development.
• Experience designing or supporting DSP, FPGA, and CPLD-based systems.
• Knowledge of signal processing techniques, filtering, and algorithm development.
• Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, TCP/IP, and serial communications.
• Experience integrating sensors and troubleshooting complex electronic systems.
• Working knowledge of C programming and hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility to work on projects requiring U.S. Person status.
