    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide design and engineering support for CNS sustainment products, with opportunities to contribute to new product development.
    • Design, analyze, and optimize analog, digital, and RF circuits for high‑performance avionics applications.
    • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams—including power, digital, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing—to deliver integrated solutions.
    • Perform schematic capture, PWB layout coordination, and design documentation.
    • Support transition‑to‑production activities and provide hands‑on troubleshooting and technical support for production teams.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, design reviews, and technical decision‑making across the product lifecycle.

Education & Experience you must have:

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
    • Job requires access to ITAR or 600/500-series EAR information or hardware (directly or indirectly) and the company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

    Qualifications you must have:

    • Demonstrated experience in analog, digital, and/or RF circuit design.
    • Proficiency in electrical engineering fundamentals including troubleshooting, analysis, and test.
    • Hands‑on experience with engineering tools and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters.
    • Experience with schematic capture tools and the ability to interpret complex schematics.
    • Familiarity with integrated development environments and debugging tools for software/hardware interaction.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.
    • Proven ability to lead or influence technical efforts within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrated success working in collaborative team environments.

    Qualifications we prefer:

    • Understanding and experience with Design for Test (DFT), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), designing for producibility, and cost—including yield and margin analysis.
    • Proficiency in SPICE simulation tools such as LTSPICE, PSPICE, TINA, etc.
    • Knowledge of avionics product lines such as DME, VOR/LOC, ILS, Marker Beacon, GNSS, ADF, and/or Radar Altimeter.
    • Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition or similar ECAD
    • General knowledge and understanding of the FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) process.
    • Experience with Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment (RTCA/DO-160 or MIL-STD-461).
    • Background in microwave/RF systems, subsystems, or component‑level design and test.
    • Experience in transmitter/power amplifier and/or receiver/LNA design.
    • Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation and analytical tools such as HFSS, ADS, Microwave Office, and MATLAB.
    • Experience translating system‑level requirements into hardware specifications, design artifacts, and test plans.
    • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify creative, technically sound solutions to complex challenges.

Experience developing technical proposals and delivering formal technical presentations
