Electrical Engineer - Product Design & Power Systems

Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong experience in PCBA design, electrical circuit design, high-voltage systems, and product development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PCB development tools, engineering analysis, electrical simulations, and troubleshooting analog and digital designs at the component level.
This role will support product design, manufacturing, testing, engineering changes, and continuous improvement activities for electrical control systems and protective relay products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain electrical product designs, BOMs, drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Design and troubleshoot PCBA and electrical circuits, including analog and digital designs.
- Support high-voltage design and power system analysis activities.
- Perform engineering analysis and simulations using CAD, FEA, statistical analysis, and electrical engineering tools.
- Support new product introductions and engineering changes to existing products.
- Investigate production, manufacturing, testing, quality, and reliability issues using Root Cause Analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, quality teams, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Evaluate components and support supplier and component qualification activities.
- Support product verification, validation, and reliability testing.
- Apply DFM/DFA, Lean, and Design for Six Sigma principles to improve product quality and manufacturability.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze product performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support customer-related technical investigations and documentation when required.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in PCBA design and electrical circuit design.
- Experience with high-voltage electrical design and power system analysis.
- Experience with PCB development and design tools.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design and component-level troubleshooting.
- Experience with product design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with engineering analysis, simulation, CAD, FEA, or electrical analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis skills.
- Excellent analytical, computer, and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Project leadership experience is preferred.
- Knowledge or training in Lean/Six Sigma or Green Belt methodologies is preferred.
Work Location
This is an onsite position in Franksville, Wisconsin. Candidates must currently reside within approximately 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI. Relocation assistance is not available.
