Electrical Engineer

Join our team as a seasoned professional focused on elevating our manufacturing plant's electrical and automated systems. This role involves direct intervention to troubleshoot and enhance our current operations as well as spearheading efforts in automation and cutting-edge improvement projects from inception to operational launch.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in industrial control systems, including hands-on experience with PLC programming, DCS and SCADA systems, instrumentation, VFDs, and industrial electrical distribution networks.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Design, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC control systems, working with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Siemens S7/TIA Portal.
- Oversee and enhance DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems for superior monitoring and process control in manufacturing environments.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in electrical, control, instrumentation, and automation systems, conducting root-cause analysis.
- Enhance functionality of industrial instrumentation, control valves, process loops, and safety interlocks.
- Manage configuration and troubleshooting of industrial communication networks such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, and others.
- Ensure seamless integration between PLCs, DCS, and third-party devices, including remote I/O and gateways.
- Work with major electrical systems including MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and switchgear to maintain robust facility distribution.
- Uphold electrical safety standards and compliance mandates, including adherence to NEC, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B.
- Drive capital projects from concept through installation to set-up and successful deployment.
- Create and maintain P&IDs, electrical schematics, and comprehensive control documentation.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors, and technical resources for project success.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to boost equipment resilience, process efficiency, and overall productivity.

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification combined with relevant experience.
- At least 5–10+ years in industrial electrical, controls, and automation domains.
- Advanced skills in PLC programming and troubleshooting, specifically Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
- Experience with DCS, SCADA/HMI systems, and industrial instrumentation.
- Proficient in industrial electrical distribution, including MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and the operation of switchgear.
- Skillful in reading and developing electrical schematics, one-line, and process diagrams.
- Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.
- AutoCAD fluency is advantageous.
- Additional experiences with Yokogawa DCS, Mitsubishi PLCs, Aspen Historian, or medium-voltage systems are highly beneficial.
