Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer | New York City | $135k–$150k + Equity + Bonus

I'm recruiting for an exciting engineering opportunity with a growing technology business in New York that is developing advanced electronic hardware and pushing the boundaries of how electronic systems are designed and optimised.

This is a genuinely hands-on position for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of hardware development, from initial concepts and circuit design through to prototyping, testing and production.

You'll have the opportunity to make important technical decisions, work across several areas of electronics engineering and see your designs become real, working products.

What you'll be doing:

• Own electronic hardware design from initial requirements through to prototype and production.
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts and component selections for complex electronic systems.
• Design analog and digital circuits, power supplies, sensor interfaces and microcontroller-based systems.
• Perform circuit simulations and analysis, including SPICE, signal integrity, power integrity and thermal considerations.
• Lead hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and other laboratory equipment.
• Work closely with software, firmware and mechanical engineering teams to develop reliable, manufacturable products.
• Support design verification, documentation, compliance and manufacturing improvements.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of hands-on electrical or electronics engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing PCBs and electronic circuits.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer, Cadence, KiCad or similar.
• A solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, power systems and high-speed design principles.
• Experience taking hardware through prototyping, testing and debugging.
• Comfortable working independently and making engineering decisions.

Nice to have:

Experience with Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Icepak, CST, EMC testing, production hardware development or Python scripting.

Package:

• Base salary: $135,000–$150,000
• Equity + bonus
• New York City, 5 days per week on-site
