Job OverviewWe are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Manager level role within our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in our Menlo Park, CA, Seattle, WA or Bellevue, WA office. In this role, you will work as part of a team to combine scientific and engineering principles, data driven techniques, and the most current experimental methods with robust subject‑specific scientific expertise, to implement high‑value solutions to complex technical problems.ResponsibilitiesPerforming electrical engineering analyses and consulting related to electrical/electronic systems in ongoing Exponent workSupporting project areas that include: failure analysis; risk assessment; reliability; design; manufacturing; and othersPerforming electrical fault isolation at IC and PCB levels with analytical tools such as LIT, OBIRCH, X‑RaysConducting electrical schematic and safety design reviews on consumer electronic devicesParticipating at every stage of a project lifecycle: scoping and proposals; development of customized testing; conducting testing; collecting and analyzing data; drafting reports and presenting to clientsPursuing business development opportunitiesQualificationsPh.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field such as Applied PhysicsTechnical background in electrical engineering, electronics, controls, embedded systems, or automationExperience in designing, constructing, and performing tests in a laboratory settingExperience with data centers and power management is preferredExperience with data analysis automation is preferredExcellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teamsAbility to convey technical conclusions to both technical and non‑technical staff in engineering, business and industrySelf‑starter with strong fundamentals, interested in learning about new topicsPresently legally authorized to work in the United States. (dependent on experience and capabilities, assessed during interview).
