Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and preparing electronic assemblies, measuring signals, troubleshooting designs, and more. This role requires excellent technical skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare electronic assemblies.
  • Probe and measure small and large signals.
  • Build and crimp cables and harnesses.
  • Solder and rework SMT boards.
  • Troubleshoot and characterize new designs.
  • Implement procedures to verify hardware designs.
  • Place thermocouples and create thermal profiles for new and existing designs.
  • Acquire and organize results for design engineers to review.
  • Participate in the design processes for testing new designs.
  • Provide feedback to engineering on new designs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Electronics Technician.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, hi-pot testers, and temperature scanners.
  • Ability to analyze circuits from schematics.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Physical requirements: Occasionally/frequently stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs.

Required Education

  • Minimum: ASEE, ASCE, or equivalent degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Design Verification Testing (DVT) experience.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, EtherCat, etc.
  • Data acquisition operation and programming skills.
  • Programming skills: C#, C, VBA, or VB.Net.
