Job Description
Evaluate potential bid opportunities, conduct an initial risk analysis, and determine if the opportunity should be pursued. Lead the estimating process for electrical projects, from initial concept through final submission. Responsibly assign appropriate tasks to junior estimators and project managers as necessary. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and relevance and incorporate them into overall estimates. Prepare or supervise the preparation of bid documents and ensure timely delivery. Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for various types of pursuits, including plan and specification, design build, design assist, and conceptual budgets. Review completed estimates and proposals for thoroughness, accuracy, value engineering alternatives and compliance with strategic goals.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Electrical Estimator should have: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of electrical estimating experience. Experience with preparing cost estimates for electrical construction projects. Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and industry standards. Proficiency in estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
