Provide support to maintenance and operations by troubleshooting problems and implementing timely solutions to daily issues. Work on all facets of electrical design work, including PLC programming, production equipment, and machine designs. Responsible for the manufacturing equipment electrical systems and standardizing their controls.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs electrical projects at U.S. Cotton.
- Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing systems and products.
- Installation and debugging of capital and manufacturing equipment.
- Responsible for following quality systems procedures, as required.
- Research and debugs new methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
- Prepares design concept drawings and cost estimates for all projects.
- Reviews and recommends changes to electrical drawings and process documentation.
- Interfaces with other manufacturing facilities to address and resolve production issues.
- Interfaces with vendors and outside sales personnel to evaluate, cost estimate, and select purchase parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience 2 to 5 years is required
- Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred
EDUCATION
- Two-year Electrical Technician degree or equivalent with a concentration in a field related to Manufacturing preferred but not required.
SKILLS
- PLC programming experience -- Allen-Bradley, Control Logic, SLC
- Industrial Controls experience
- AutoCAD or equivalent CAD program
- Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of SPC methodology
- Safety Controls
- Wiring and electrical mechanics experience.
- Knowledge and experience reading and using electrical instruments.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and safety compliance.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE
- Must have a high level of ability to furnish technical guidance to all levels of the manufacturing process including, Engineering and Management. Must have the ability to plan and coordinate projects and outside activities related to projects and repair.
