Electrical Project Manager

Well established CT electrical contractor seeks experienced Electrical PM for their growing business.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial, industrial, institutional, and/or residential electrical construction projects throughout Connecticut. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through completion, including estimating support, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, client communication, and closeout.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of electrical construction, project management, Connecticut building and electrical requirements, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining schedule, quality, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from contract award through final completion.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower requirements.

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope of work.

• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

• Manage project costs, change orders, purchase orders, billings, and forecasting.

• Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.

• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.

• Coordinate material procurement and ensure materials are available when required.

• Conduct regular project meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.

• Work closely with electrical superintendents, foremen, estimators, and field crews.

• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to contract documents and applicable codes.

• Assist with estimating, bid reviews, scope development, and project turnover.

• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

• Participate in inspections, commissioning, punch-list completion, and project closeout.

• Ensure projects comply with applicable Connecticut electrical codes, permitting requirements, company procedures, and safety standards.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience preferred.

• Experience managing commercial, industrial, institutional, or large-scale electrical projects.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, plans, specifications, and estimating.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and construction documents.

• Knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and change-order management.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project-management software.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Connecticut.
