Job Summary:
In this role, you will monitor and organize direct hire or subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex electrical construction project with multiple stakeholders. Your field supervision will ensure operations align with established schedules and that work methods are executed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities through coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff within the area of responsibility.
Monitors direct hire or subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Prepares Direct Hire methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements and/or reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with overall established schedules.
Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
Enforces policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering and technical documents.
Coordinates engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
Coordinates with design teams on constructability issues.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of relevant experience OR 12–14 years of relevant work experience
Heavy industrial U.S. direct hire construction experience
Experience managing union craft
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience on large-scale mining or energy projects
Experience working in remote or camp-based environments
Experience with EPCM project structures
Required Skills:
Extensive knowledge of electrical operations and codes
Construction planning, monitoring, and control expertise
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and regulations
Preferred Skills:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, databases)
Subcontract management knowledge
ES&H standards and compliance knowledge
Strong communication and customer relations skills
Additional Skills:
Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
Knowledge of subcontractor responsibilities and documentation
Understanding of Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook
Knowledge of safety programs including Zero Accidents initiatives
Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
