The Electrical Supervisor will maintain the facility in both safety and machinery; follow up with all issues in a timely manner; be able to work well with all members of management and act accordingly. The Electrical Supervisor will be in constant communication with the area managers about issues or needs and prioritize them to fit the needs of the company.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be self-directed, and be confident in their decision-making abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Capable of supporting troubleshooting & observations of machine centers with shift supervisors and other support staff to ensure production and quality standards are met
Managing the department cost in an aggressive manner assuring optimum manufacturing unit cost; develop and educate key metrics
Safety of the crew (Lock-Out Procedures, assisting with and verifying Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA), Safety Audits)
Perform and maintain counseling and coaching sessions along with performance evaluations for each direct report
Schedule and assign daily tasks
Work closely with the mill Planner to schedule electrical maintenance for the plant and set up and maintain a preventative maintenance plan.
Support production & maintenance to ensure a quality panel is produced while maintaining a competitive cost.
Supervise a team of electricians on a daily basis; perform evaluations, counseling and coaching sessions as needed for each member.
